When your best friend says "hey do you want to go to Coachella and then shoot in Joshua Tree together?", you say "hell yeah I do!". I'm lucky to have an incredibly talented photographer for a best friend - check her out @rachelcanalephotography, and this by far has been one of our best adventures together.
Only a day before Coachella festival was due to kick off, we arrived in Palm Springs, hired a Mustang, and set off into the desert for a shoot. Despite living in vast Australia, never have I been on a drive like this before - literally the middle of no where! No buildings or other cars to be seen for miles.
We pulled into the middle of the desert, right in time for golden hour, and the fun began. Check out the photos below!
My only warning - if you're travelling into a desert, make sure you have enough gas for the return trip! The scariest part of the adventure was ending up on zero gas on the pitch black drive home, and practically rolling the car in neutral to the petrol station. Funny memories to have but we're thankful it didn't run out earlier!
